SJ Adventures

I have been dreaming about this trip for months now. We were going to head up the mountain in July, get out of the heat, and stay the weekend in SJ. My mind visualized all the perfect scenic places to take pictures. I envisioned the cool mountain air, the afternoons of monsoons, the brisk nights...too good to be true. Something came up at work and Wyatt had to cover some one's shift. So the kids and I decided to take on the adventure ourselves. I practically had to bribe the kids to go. They hate SJ. They think it is "nothing to do" type of town. They were grumpy and I had to drag them out of the car to model for me. I took over 50 shots and these are about the only ones where someone wasn't scowling. Okay, I'm officially bummed!!

Don't they understand that I loved growing up in this little town. We FOUND things to do. We didn't have malls, we had Yellow Front. We didn't have Chili's, we had Coach Lantern and JR's Steakhouse. That was the life.
